10.000g for 7 euros, decent price I suppose, but what do you really want that gold for?
If you're going to get a mount you won't, at least not on my realm, spend 10 times that and you'll get yourself a bike. Pets? Seems to be one of those obsessions of players nowadays, everyone wants to show off their pets and brag. You may get a little something for 10.000g but nothing that you can brag about.
Why buy gold then, from those annoying little level 1s that run in to the capital and spam their advertisement, why not just grind the gold? Because you're thinking it'll take too long to grind it with quests and farming? Wrong
Just questing and not selling any herbs from level 80 to 85 gave me 4.800g that is the total I had when I dinged 85 and got my spells. I hadn't done a single quest up until level 80 and simply lived on gold from my other characters. This is not to be recommended of course, but if you really want to make money, but not spend any real cash, level a character, pick up gathering professions that will give you even more gold and do every quest to maximise profits. You will have yourself a nice little new level 85 character plus a few thousand gold to play around with.
Personally I don't really agree with buying gold, mounts, pets with real cash, simply because Blizzard already gets enough money from us players and certainly does not need us buying a single mount for 10 euro. Yes there is a reason I said Blizzard is one of the goldsellers, if not all. Think about it, if this company wanted to shut down goldsellers forever they could, but for some reason they don't, my theory is that either they are the goldsellers or they get a percentage of the real cash spent on buying gold. This to allow the goldselling to continue and for Blizzard to make more money. This may just be me playing on my conspiracy side, but have a think!
If players feel the need to spend more than the monthly fee that is their business, but I would never encourage anyone to spend more of your hard earned cash on Blizzard. This does not mean I pick on every single person that buys the mounts or pets, it is their money to spend whichever way they want and I am not the one to tell them to use it more wisely.
Lets face it, the goldselling business would not be booming unless players all over the world bought gold from them. In the end it is your decision to buy gold for your WoW characters instead of spending it on whatever your other hobbies are.
As for me, I'd rather have a brand new shiny character and a few thousand gold than spend my real cash buying it, but that is just me!
