Today hasn't been a good WoW day for me.
This based on the fact I have not been able to get on it, good thing I have no pressing matters in the game today. Tomorrow everything resets, finally, and we can all go back to normal.
Today made me think of all the issues WoW has, not just the inability of getting online but also any in-game issues, I guess this is where I need the readers' comments and problems.
To me achievements have never glitched and, touch wood, never will, however this is a massive issue for some people that for one reason or another did not get it. Which brings me to the issue, what is really fair for those who dc during a fight, say you're on Madness of Deathwing 25 Heroic, it is the first time he is being properly killed by your guild and 5% left, you dc! To me that is a rubbish way of not getting an achievement, you've been there the whole fight and contributed and for all of that, you will get nothing what so ever, Blizzard's rules states you have to do it again to get the achievement, which is something your guild will now do over and over again, but don't you just feel a bit cheated? I know I would!
However, if someone in the raid dcs early on in the fight and have not contributed at all, or just went offline to be a pain, then they don't deserve it, to be honest, it is people like that I'd kick and never come near again.
Now that is one of those issues you just want to cry over when they happen, touch wood, but those that are preventable. I recently joined a Thrones run with a different guild which I thought was a normal achievement run, that is what the trade message said anyway. So I join, kill the first boss and hey ho, something I need drops, I should have known something was wrong when the loot roll was a normal group roll, so I needed and so did two priests. It adds to this it was an agility staff, me being a hunter believes the priests just got the stats wrong. The priest wins it and I whisper the person saying "Sorry, think you missclicked? it's an agi staff" getting the reply "F**k off d*** face" Lovely as I am I whisper the raid leader, who also happens to be the GM for the guild that was doing the run asking him to tell the priest off, without replying the leader continues and says nothing for the rest of the run. Of course the priest decided he had the right to every staff, trinket and ring that dropped in that run and no one said a thing, so I once again confronted the guy who once again totally slagged me off.
This is something I just can not stand, people can missclick, fair enough, but intentionally needing on every single item possible in a run full of people that might've actually needed the gear, not okey. It is one thing if the run would've been an ICC run, just for the achieves and transmog, but this is gear that might still be used by alts gearing up. So what do you do in a situation like that, do you, like me report the player for being a complete ninja towards the whole raid, or leave it at just being quiet and trying to reason with him?
I am just one of those people that has a lot of opinions and I don't care if some people don't like me telling them my piece, if someone is being unfair to me or other people in the same run I will tell them what I think. I am not much of a reporter though, that was, to be completely honest the first time I've reported anyone based on loot. Of course we all report goldsellers for spamming but that is just the day to day thing.
Now this is where I need the readers' comments and response really, what do you find annoying in the game, anything from the people in it to the game mechanics.
